Welcome tosterious .

Here are a few of my favorite links.

Greenbriar is my High Fantasy comic which I did last year. Ultimately a failure, it was still a very interesting experience to produce. It's about a girl named Epiphany who has incredible powers, but is more interested in running her tavern. Pretty much safe for work. Screw your job, read my comic instead.

Your Life

Not really a link as such but a simple little poll that I wrote that will ask you questions about your mental state. I need to know what is on the mind of Mysterious Glow visitors. How else can I "speak the kid's language?"

Apple

I'm a big fan of Apple and their products.

Boing Boing

Lot's of fun from all directions.

Official site of world famous British comedy troupe, Monty Python.

rottentomatoes.com

A compendium of different movie reviews. They analyze past and current movies, and give a score based on positive or negative media reviews. Very useful.

Penn and Teller

Official website of loud-mouth magician and arch-sceptic Penn Jillette, and his shorter, quieter partner Teller. Did you know that Teller used to teach Latin? Well, now you do. They have a pretty cool show on the cable network Showtime, called Bullshit, which I highly recommend.

Jim Rose Circus

Jim Rose Circus (Canadian Site!)

Oh my goodness. Not one, but two officially sanctioned Jim Rose Circus sites. The Jim Rose Circus keeps alive a lot of sideshow acts such as fire-eating, sword swallowing, insect-eating - technically known as a geek-act. We must support these cultural historians in anyway possible.

Ricky Jay

Bitchin' website of Ricky Jay, distinguished author, magical historian, sleight of hand expert, television and film star.

Disinformation

Probably a better source of news than anywhere else. Just joking!

Michael Moschen

The greatest juggler in the world. Michael Moschen is a consumate artist. When I was younger, juggling was my primary hobby. I worked at a rennaisance fair with un-bathed hippies, who taught me all manner of vaudeville skills. Even though I was an avid juggler, I never realized that juggling could be elevated to the sublime. Moschen's work has such a purity of form, grace, and beauty that it transcends the gaudy ruffled shirt, red suspenders, and derby reputation of juggling. In a way, I almost wish I've never seen his work. My own juggling skills seem clumsy and pedestrian by comparison. It is curious how genius manifests itself.

Coopstuff.com

Brilliant cartoonist, designer, etc.

Frederick Hart

Your art teacher is probably going to be too cool for Frederick Hart. Frederick Hart was an American national treasure. I've always had a strong appreciation and love of sculpture, and Frederick Hart was a master. I wanted to be a sculptor at one point in my life, and Hart was certainly an influence. It makes me sad that his work isn't as strongly celebrated as it should be.

Sharpeworld.com

Defying description.

The source for strange news.

Grantmorrison.com

Site of Grant Morrison, writer of The Invisibles.

Fantagraphics

Publishers of non-superhero related comics of such greats as Charles Burns, Dan Clowes and Chris Ware. I encourage you to buy the entire works of those three artists mentioned. Do it now.

Dan Simmons

Official site of critically acclaimed author Dan Simmons. People banter around the word genius too much, but Dan Simmons really is a genius. Highly recommended.

Shag

Painter, illustrator and designer.

Awful Plastic Surgery

Darkly humorous site dedicated to before and after photos of celebrities and their excessive plastic surgery.
